This online version of the health and social service directory known as the Yellow Book, as well as a published hard copy, is compiled, maintained and published by the Community Network Support Team (CNST), a program of the Grey Bruce Community Health Corporation. The goal of the Yellow Book is to provide centralized information on not-for-profit mental health and social service agencies/programs in the counties of Grey and Bruce.

All of the health and social services included in this listing have provided us with current information and description of their services. We thank them for their assistance in compiling this information. We also welcome any comments or questions that you may have regarding the Yellow Book.

The Yellow Book traces its beginning to the Grey-Bruce Health and Social Services Directory which was first published in 1984 by the Community Network Support Team. This directory quickly became known as the Yellow Book due to its bright yellow cover. The Yellow Book was updated and published periodically by CNST until 1995. Over the next five years CNST played an active consultative role in the development of a multi-agency produced and expanded community version known as the Grey Bruce Information Directory.

Since 1995 CNST has continued to receive numerous requests each year to bring back the Yellow Book in its original design. This has resulted in the online Yellow Book Directory. Our hope is that we will be able to make updates on a continual basis to the online Yellow Book and that a paper version will be available in the future.

The information in the Yellow Book is the result of direct contact with the listed organizations. Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, but CNST is not responsible for any errors that might occur. Inclusion in the Yellow Book does not in any way imply endorsement by CNST nor does omission imply a lack of endorsement. Listings include programs offered by not-for-profit groups and organizations in health and social services.
